APT was established in 2009 in Mehsana, Gujarat (a state of India) to produce and market pure, fresh, pomegranate juice from the finest Indian varieties of pomegranates grown all-year-round. APT’s juice is NFC (Not from Concentrate) and has no added sugar or preservatives. Its shelf life is at least 6 months under refrigerated conditions. APT also produces pomegranate oil from the seed and medicines from the pulp and rind.

The APT concept was developed following a visit to Israel in 2008 by APT’s founder, Mr. A.J. Patel, a leading Gujarat statesman, together with Dr. Hemendra Mehta who was deeply involved in the long-term planning of the project. The trip was organized by Pomeg-Tech Ltd. Cooperation between the companies centers on development and cultivation of pomegranate varieties, establishment of a suitable growing environment, and, most important, creation of an industrial process that will ensure stable and steady returns on the investment. The project was conceived, developed and established in record time and APT is already marketing its pure NFC juice locally in India and, in cooperation with Pomeg-Tech Ltd., has started to develop an export market
